Voice Studio Policies

Payment

Payment is due at the time of the lesson. A late fee of $10 will be applied to all unpaid lessons within 24 hours of the completion of the session. Payments are accepted via cash, check, credit, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Session rates are $45/30 minutes, $60/45 minutes, and $75/60 minutes. Rates are subject to change at the teacher's discretion, and clients will be notified of rate changes with one month's notice. Discounts may be offered for sets of 5 or 10 lessons. These discounts are at the teacher's discretion and subject to change. In the event of a late payment, discount agreements do not apply, and the client must pay for the base rate of the lesson plus the $10 late fee.

Scheduling

Lesson scheduling is flexible. The student may choose to schedule lessons individually at irregular times, or may reserve a regular timeslot on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Late notice scheduling is permissible at the discretion of the instructor.

Cancellations & Missed Lessons

Cancellation of a lesson is permissible with at least 48 hours' notice. The teacher will accomodate requests to reschedule, if desired by the client. Cancellations without 48' hours notice or missed lessons will result in the loss of the lesson. The student will be responsible to pay for the missed lesson, and no make-up session will be offered.

Tardiness

The instructor will not extend the length of the lesson for a student who arrives late. Lessons are often scheduled back-to-back, and it is important that sessions begin and end on time.

Illness

Singing while sick can be harmful to the voice. In addition, the teacher would like to protect herself, her family, and her students from exposure to cold or flu. Therefore, the student should cancel or reschedule if they are sick. It is recommended to inform the teacher as soon as possible if you suspect you are sick. As an alternative to an in-person lesson, the student may request an online session with no vocalizing (Ex: vocal diction, ear training, music reading, repertoire and audition consultation). If the student arrives to an in-person lesson while sick, this will be considered a cancellation without 48 hours' notice.

Termination of Lessons

15 days' notice is requested for termination of lessons. The student has a right to a refund of prepaid lessons if 15 days' notice is given.
