Teaching Philosophy

If you want a kind and honest teacher, this is the studio for you. Elizabeth offers constructive feedback, telling you what she hears, good and bad. She makes sure to recognize moments of growth so that you can appreciate your own progress.

Your voice lessons are a personalized experience. Elizabeth adapts her teaching method to your learning style and personality.  She carefully tailors exercises and repertoire to address your goals. Not sure of your goals yet? That's okay, too. Elizabeth will set goals for you.

Do you feel tension in your singing? Elizabeth's technique emphasizes body awareness.  She identifies areas of muscle tension and teaches an expanding ribcage technique for optimum breathing efficiency. When your singing feels effortless, it also sounds beautiful!
